SCIF Technician

Computer & Network Security

Responsibilities

Installing and configuring sound masking devices, secure locks, alarms, and white noise systems
Conducting system testing, shielding verification, or compliance walkthroughs
Running and terminating secure cabling in accordance with ICD 705 standards
HVAC work to include
Modifying or re-routing HVAC systems to meet secure space airflow or acoustic requirements
Includes duct adjustments, airflow balancing, thermostat integration
Electrical work to include
Includes installing outlets, wiring, or panel work
Interpreting blueprints, floor plans, or ICD 705 construction drawings
Contributes to an accident-free work environment by complying with instructions, codes, regulations and standards for the use of power tools, wearing protective equipment, reporting incidents of unsafe work activity to supervisors, and following standard safety precautions during work
Focuses on customer needs and customer satisfaction, projects a positive customer service environment to both internal and external customers and promotes and encourages an attitude of exemplary customer service and high integrity

Required

Effective verbal communication skills
Familiarity with reading blueprints
Attention to detail
Accuracy with measurements
Understanding of and willingness to follow site safety practices
Ability to work effectively in a team setting
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum 5 years minimum of maintenance/construction work in SCIF areas
Experience with HVAC and Electrical systems
Ability to travel 100%
This role involves significant physical activity, including climbing ladders, frequent lifting of items weighing over 50 pounds, and working in confined or awkward spaces (e.g., crawling or crouching). Occasionally, lifting objects weighing 75 pounds or more may be required
