Loan Operations Specialist

Northmarq is a unique capital markets resource for commercial real estate investors, providing access to experts in various financial services. They are seeking a Loan Operations Specialist to join their Servicing team, responsible for boarding new loans, monitoring communications, and ensuring accurate loan documentation and data integrity.

Real Estate Investment

Responsibilities

Provide premier customer service to lenders, borrowers, other Northmarq staff, and outside vendors
Review Salesforce for expected loans closing and ensure data is accurate
Obtain loan documents after closing within the expected time frames to ensure accurate setup
Review loan documentation and accurately set up loan terms into the loan servicing system
Analyze data and process, locate, and correct inconsistencies to ensure no impact to others
Execute system updates in response to loan events, collaborating closely with Portfolio & Asset Management to ensure accuracy and alignment
Manage updates to loan contact information and maintain system records accordingly
Compile, consolidate, and upload loan event documentation following lender approval
Assist in regular data integrity checks daily, weekly, and monthly to ensure system data remains accurate and up to date
Navigate the specific nuances of each individual lender when setting up and monitoring loans
Plan and schedule workload independently to meet deadlines
Assist in the boarding of mass transfer-in loans
Monitor and process emails from group/shared email inbox
Growth mindset, with a desire to continuously learn new skills
Create strong foundation of commercial loan servicing knowledge
Provide general operational support to other areas
Perform other reasonable tasks/projects, as assigned

Required

Two-year degree, preferably a four year degree or related experience
2-3 years of related office experience
Background in commercial lender, servicing, or real estate preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel and Word
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure; plan, set and adhere to time constraints
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication
Strong organizational skills
Problem-solving skills to reflect level of responsibilities
Effective customer service skills
Attention to detail and accuracy required
Ability to work independently and within a team, with minimal supervision
Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information

Preferred

Working knowledge of Salesforce preferred
