Responsibilities
Technical review of high voltage transmission line designs (34kV – 500kV). Prepare construction plan documents as required per project. Assist with the preparation of proposals. Perform site visits when necessary. Mentor and assist in the professional development of junior engineering staff. Consult on internal projects when requested by the PM, Portfolio Manager, or Executive Vice President
Provide technical assistance to the Welty Energy Project Management Team
Take a lead role in growing the Welty Energy Transmission Line Engineering team
Interface with client’s engineering groups and project management team to provide regular and timely updates
Perform QA/QC reviews of all work product
Perform analysis/modeling of wood, steel, and lattice structures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil or electrical engineering at an ABET accredited university
5-10 years + of experience as a Transmission Line Engineer well versed in design engineering of high voltage transmission lines (34kV – 500kV)
Comfortable with Travel 15-20% travel (project specific)
Preferred
Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical, environmental, architectural, structural or similar technical field
PE license advantageous
