They are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to grow their municipal market presence across western USA, focusing on selling process and solids-handling equipment to municipal wastewater treatment plants and engineering firms.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve growth targets within the west USA municipal wastewater market
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with municipalities, wastewater utilities, engineering consultants, and system integrators
Conduct technical consultations, plant visits, and presentations to assess customer needs and propose tailored solutions
Deliver compelling product demonstrations highlighting equipment performance, efficiency, and lifecycle benefits
Collaborate closely with internal engineering, applications, and product management teams to ensure optimal system design and equipment selection
Maintain strong, long-term relationships with municipal end-users and channel partners
Track projects from specification through bidding and procurement to close
Regularly attend industry trade shows, professional conferences, and regional association meetings (e.g., CWEA, AWWA)
Travel extensively throughout west USA to support customers and pursue new opportunities

Required

Must currently reside in California within convenient access to a major airport (Los Angeles, Sacramento, or San Francisco preferred)
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum of five (5) years of outside sales experience selling process equipment directly into the municipal wastewater treatment market (pumps, dewatering, or solids-handling equipment preferred)
Strong understanding of pumping systems, fluid dynamics, and process troubleshooting
Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles from specification to close
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a regional capacity
Comfortable with CRM tools, project tracking, and sales reporting

Preferred

Candidates with experience at municipal equipment dealers or manufacturers' representatives are strongly encouraged to apply, provided they meet the mandatory criteria above
