Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician
Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician for its Georgia campus. Responsibilities
Oversee work being done by contractors, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, safely, and on time
Use a work order system to assign tasks to team members based on skill set and workload
Ensure all safety protocols and operating procedures are followed by maintenance technicians and contractors
Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment
Troubleshoot technical issues and determine the root cause of equipment or system malfunctions
Perform routine repairs and maintenance tasks as needed
Follow preventive maintenance schedules to ensure all equipment operates efficiently and to extend its lifespan
Perform inspections and maintenance on equipment as per manufacturer’s recommendations and company policies
Ensure maintenance records are accurately kept and updated in the work order system
Enforce adherence to all safety procedures and regulations, ensuring the plant operates in a safe and compliant manner
Responsible for ensuring safety gear is worn correctly and consistently by all persons
Coordinate with other departments to minimize disruptions to their operations and to support their needs
Immediately report on equipment status, repair activities, and any potential issues that could affect the campus operations
Communicate effectively with management about any technical issues or needs for replacement parts and tools
Ensure that tools and parts are properly maintained and available for use
Maintain an organized inventory of supplies
Assist in the execution of major maintenance projects, plant upgrades, or installations of new equipment
Monitor progress and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines
Ability to prioritize and use time wisely
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED Required
Three years of experience
Basic Facilities and Maintenance and general building systems knowledge
School Dude work order system, or similar
Proficient G-Suite and use and of a computer to write emails and reports
Customer service minded
Proficient with use of hand tools, mechanical tools, and diagnostic equipment such as voltage meters
Strong understanding of MEP systems
Skilled at performing drywall and flooring repairs
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Must have a valid driver license (required)
This position will be on call for maintenance/technician related emergencies
Preferred
