Responsibilities

Determine system needs and provides a comprehensive multi-year analysis and strategy to meet replacement program and operational requirements to eliminate, mitigate or manage risk throughout the asset's life-cycle
Develop a comprehensive, strategic plan that supports replacement program objectives and includes design and construction methods, technical requirements, applicable standards, material procurement, etc
Work as a team member with other Asset Management Program Managers, Engineering and Supply Chain to prepare annual forecasts for replacement programs to ensure project requirements are met
Review and coordinate capital additions with other program managers to assure adequacy, service reliability, and consistency with replacement program
Perform research and benchmarking to identify and apply best practices for asset management

A degree in engineering is required, either from an ABET-accredited program or through a combination of education and experience
Specialized experience for this position is defined as applying civil engineering OR mechanical engineering OR electrical engineering theories, principles, concepts, standards and methods to develop or implement a course of action and asset planning, interpret and adapt general guidelines and precedents regarding NERC, FERC, and other regulatory agency policy statements, and project management activities that include budgeting, contract administration, milestones and scheduling
