NON-NUCLEAR SHIP SYSTEMS INSPECTOR LEADER
Trident Refit Facility is part of the Department of the Navy, and they are seeking a Non-Nuclear Ship Systems Inspector Work Leader. In this role, you will lead personnel in inspections related to submarine maintenance, repair, and testing on non-nuclear mechanical, piping, and structural systems.

Responsibilities
You will perform in-process inspections at various checkpoints during repair, reassembly, test and reinstallation of systems and associated components and equipment
You will lead personnel in all aspects of inspection relating to submarine maintenance, repair, and testing on non-nuclear mechanical, piping, and structural systems
You will perform opening, in-process, and final reviews of non-nuclear controlled work packages to ensure directive compliance
You will lead inspectors in the performance of in-process inspections, demonstrating and training subordinates in proper work methods
You will assign and explain work requirements as well as ensure safety and housekeeping rules are followed
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check

This is a bargaining unit position
You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift
Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present
You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
