Sheet Metal Mechanic Leader

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for planning, technical coordination and implementation of best Sheetmetal/Boat Joiner and repair practices, for construction and repair required for accomplishing all Sheetmetal Shop operations along with Yard objectives
Passing on instructions to the workers to start work and works alongside workers setting the pace and tone
Inspecting work during progress to assure satisfactory standards for quality and quantity of worker
Assigning job assignments, lines up materials for employees, provides guidance to higher level employees and provides training to lower level employees
Submitting Condition Found Reports (CFR' or 343), due inspections reports (252), put in for Hot work/Cold Work (OSHA 71)
Using power and hand tools common to the trade to perform numerous kinds of trade task involved in construction, repairing, or renovating a wide variety of types and sizes of marine craft and vessels and in connection with miscellaneous manufacturing and facility projects performed at the Yard

U.S. Citizenship is required
State Driver's License required
Applicant is required to meet the physical requirements of the position
Submit current SF50
Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision (SCREENOUT)
Knowledge of equipment, structural, materials, etc. (includes construction, repair, and forging)
Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. (includes blueprint reading)
Layout and pattern development (includes geometric projection and triangulation)
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, etc., for metal work
Dexterity (assembly, disassembly, reassembly, etc.)
