CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Responsibilities
Conduct individual and group short-term therapy sessions
Conduct psychological assessment of patients with a wide variety of known or suspected psychological disorders
Monitor, approve, and document clinical treatment plans and clinical records
Provide expert oversight of training in diagnosis and treatment to certified and intern counselors in the Department
Provide consultation regarding testing
Qualification
Required
Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology
One year of specialized experience which includes adult treatment population, performing bio-psychosocial evaluations, providing psychological counseling, and developing behavioral health treatment plans, or assisting with the multidisciplinary treatment of patients
A current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction
Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment
Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption
This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing
A pre-placement medical examination is required
Moderate to heavy lifting up to 10 pounds is required
This position may require the incumbent to work weekends and/or holidays
