USAJOBS is seeking a Lead Lodging Clerk for the Air Force Recreational Area in Fort Tuthill, Flagstaff. The role involves overseeing and distributing workload among employees, providing customer service, and managing room reservations and guest check-ins.

Responsibilities
Distributes and balances workload among employees
Observes working progress, production, and adherence to quality and safety standards
Instructs and trains new employees
Evaluates unresolved employee complaints or operational issues to 2nd level supervisor
Provides input on performance progress, and disciplinary problems
Receives and confirms room reservation by letter, telephone, email, or personal contact
Registers and assigns rooms to guest, makes and issues room keys, and may escort guest to rooms as needed
Ensures that only authorized patrons use government sponsored quarters
Calculates and posts charges to patron's accounts and balances total with control records
Accepts payment, makes change, and presents departing guests checkout statements
Prepares and safeguards cash receipts, prepares daily cashier's reports, daily activity report, and may prepare consolidated daily activity report
Maintains current checkout list
Maintains and sells sundry sales items to patrons
Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
Ensures required information is received from guest and entered into guest folio
Prints backup reports from property management system
Ensures housekeeping status of rooms is updated
Records and notifies appropriate person/organization of maintenance problems reported by guests
Ensures front desk area and lobby remains clean
Process Night Audit procedures and close credit card machines nightly
Maintains the lost and found program
Ensures that customer service is the first priority
Performs various clerical and administrative support duties for Fort Tuthill Off Base Recreation Area
Maintains necessary suspense control
Use MS Office software to produce a variety of documents correspondence, reports, and other materials
Performs Records Custodian (RC) function for the work center
Assists in entering invoices into the NAF Resale Inventory System (NAFRIS)
Assist with cashier deposit reports and completing Consolidated Cost Center Reports
Assist in preparation and consolidation of daily activity AF Form 1875s, deposits and reports
Assist with the initiation and completion of inputs into daily 1876s in the Services Agency Information System (SAIS)
Assist in ensuring all information is accurate and timely
Assists with payroll duties such as time keeper and makes inputs to SETS timesheets
Performs a variety of general office duties such as receiving telephone calls and visitors, routing and filing correspondence, maintaining files, makes tentative appointments for supervisor, and arranges staff meetings, as required
May brew and serve coffee beverages during set hours established
Ensures coffee, beer and wine bar remains clean
Qualification
Required
Applicant must be 19 years of age
Experience in general clerical or cashier work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated ability to perform satisfactorily in handling multiple tasks and providing quality customer service
Experience must have demonstrated the ability to solve common arithmetic problems, and to make change when receiving payment from customers
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program
This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results
Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position
U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal Affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service
Direct deposit is required

A probationary period may be required
