Responsibilities

Set up and operate efficiently all machines and equipment in the Tool Room such as grinders, lathes, milling machines, including CNC mills, drill presses, saws, planer, sanders, mig, tig, arc and acetylene welding, burn out and edm

Use all machinist and pattern maker hand tools and precision measuring instruments skillfully

Fabricate, assemble, construct and repair metal or wood parts, tools, jigs, fixtures, master patterns, core boxes and dies from prints, sketches or templates

Construct, calibrate, or set gauges and precision measuring instruments

Sharpen all tools and work to a minimum tolerance of .0001

Maintain equipment and working area in a clean and orderly condition

Perform other job related duties as directed by supervisor

Requires a minimum of instruction and supervision
