Responsibilities
Provide patient positioning, injection or ingestion of contrast media, appropriate setting of computer techniques, demonstration of appropriate anatomy, collection of patient data, and compliance with sterile technique
Coordinate patient appointments with other diagnostic procedures
Communicate to the patient the entire process that the patient will undergo for CT examination
Provide quality control measures in the use of the CT equipment
Store and maintain patient records in appropriate storage medium
Reschedule patients during down-time
Complete all computer data entry requirements to assure timely completion and availability of study for physician interpretation
Qualification
Required
Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography and CT
Basic Life Support within 60 days of hire
Minimum two years' experience as a R.T. or specialized training in CT
Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology
Demonstrate competence in assessing patient diagnosis and requested CT exam
Trained in proper techniques of injecting contrast media and procedures employed in the event of contrast reaction
Adept at customer service
Ability to work at multiple locations
Demonstrates ability to use a keyboard as may be required to perform the essential duties of the job
