Responsibilities
Perform DNA isolation and probe production using both manual and automated techniques
Maintain precise documentation of production processes, probe performance, and quality control results
Execute established quality control procedures, calibrations, and preventative maintenance on laboratory instruments
Follow the laboratory’s standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and regulatory requirements
Identify and troubleshoot issues that could impact production quality or turnaround times
Implement and document corrective actions when systems deviate from performance specifications
Conduct quality testing of reagents and ensure proper labeling, storage, and inventory management
Support process improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and consistency of results
Maintain a safe and compliant work environment through strict adherence to company safety policies
Perform additional laboratory assignments and cross-functional projects as directed by management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum one (1+) year experience in a commercial lab environment preferred
Proficient in molecular biology, DNA isolation, and probe-based methodologies
Committed to maintaining high laboratory standards and regulatory compliance
Demonstrates precision in recordkeeping, testing, and data accuracy
Uses sound judgment to assess issues and determine effective resolutions
Works cooperatively within team environments to achieve production goals
Adjusts effectively to shifting priorities, workloads, and new technologies
