Senior Incoming Quality Control Engineer

Responsibilities
Build effective relationships with local and global stakeholders: IQC, Procurement, Process and Equipment Engineering, Process Integration, Supplier Quality Engineering, Material Technology Engineering, etc
Support incoming quality systems by ensuring the meeting of key metrics that support quality systems strategic direction and continuous improvement projects
Drive the development, alignment, and execution of long-range strategies which enable Micron teams to meet future technology requirements
Monitor and control incoming material quality to ensure no adverse impact to processes and product
Collaborate closely with process areas and process integration teams to resolve complex contamination issues and prevent future occurrences
Partner with engineering teams to assess and manage risks associated with qualifying new materials or new material sources
Record and publish inspection results based on vendor Certificates of Analysis and take action immediate action to contain impact of non-conforming material
Lead Material Review Board (MRB) to determine non-conforming material disposition
Coordinate with purchasing personnel to obtain supplier RMA for MRB disposition of product
Develop and enforce incoming inspection procedures and testing methods for incoming raw materials
Perform data analysis on vendor supplied data to establish, maintain and update statistical process control charts according to Micron’s SPC practice
Evaluate supplier performance to ensure the supplier meets all requirements and does not impact the company's performance to our customers
Maintaining Quality Assurance business processes such as quality plans, procedures and material specifications to current requirements
Review and approve Supplier Organizational Change notifications and Chemical Requests
Serve as the Boise site liaison for global supplier quality projects, processes, and initiatives
Take ownership of materials and wafer IQC concerns, issue resolution, and improvement activities

Qualification
Required
BS Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related field of study, or equivalent experience
Self-motivation, dependability, and the ability to work with minimal direction
Flexibility to work across global time zones
Fluent in oral and written English
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Preferred
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Material Science
Experience in a leadership role
Working knowledge of SAP systems
Excellent analytical and data gathering skills
Demonstrated success in troubleshooting problems and addressing root causes
Proactive addressing concerns that may be potential problems
Proven ability in multi-tasking complex projects and driving them to completion
Strong interpersonal skills and customer/co-worker relationships; work effectively with cross-functional teams
Self-motivation, dependability, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
