The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, advising graduate students, developing a research program, and participating in departmental activities, with a focus on advanced design and manufacturing, and interdisciplinary research.

Required

Earned doctorate in mechanical engineering or a closely related engineering or science discipline
Demonstrated expertise and experience in advanced design and manufacturing
Demonstrated expertise and experience in micro- and nano-systems
Demonstrated expertise and experience in energy and environment
Demonstrated expertise and experience in biomechanics and human performance
Teaching experience in mechanical engineering courses
Ability to teach, advise and mentor graduate students
Ability to develop an independent, externally funded research program
Participation in all aspects of the department's activities
Service to the profession
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

Interdisciplinary research and/or collaborative potential contributing to the development of innovative technologies designed to improve human health
