The R2R Business Lead will serve as the business process owner for the Finance workstream, partnering with IT and business stakeholders to design and deploy future-state R2R processes.

Responsibilities

Define, design, and validate end-to-end R2R processes within SAP, including inventory accounting, ensuring alignment with the company’s global finance model for the SAP S/4 program .This role will have a dotted reporting line to the Group Controllership organization and partner closely with all team members involved in the end-to-end RTR process
Lead solution design for the full scope of Record to Report processes. Partner with system integrators to translate business requirements into SAP functionality and ensure implications are addressed across ancillary systems and integrations outside SAP. Scope includes the full R2R cycle: chart of accounts, journal entries, allocations, intercompany, asset & lease accounting, inventory accounting, statutory and management reporting, and automation of R2R processes
Ensure all R2R processes meet internal control standards, SOX compliance, and audit requirements as it related to the SAP S/4 program Identify and propose automation opportunities for manual processes and controls, leveraging S/4HANA functionality
Lead R2R-related data mapping, cleanup, and validation efforts to ensure accuracy and consistency, leveraging the established global data model and all finance code block elements. Responsible to ensure the finance code block connects through the end-to-end finance ecosystem
Drive the R2R workstream through all phases of implementation: design, build, testing, data migration, cutover, and hypercare; ensuring deliverables are met on time and to a high standard
Expand beyond close automation to include broader R2R process automation, master data governance, and adoption of enabling digital tools for the SAP S/4 program
Develop and deliver training to finance users, ensuring knowledge transfer, capability building, and sustained adoption across the business
Serve as a visible change leader, collaborating and partnering with stakeholders across functions and regions to drive sustainable behavioral and process change, ensuring the new ways of working are embedded and enduring
Identify and implement opportunities to simplify, standardize, and enhance R2R processes, leveraging SAP and digital capabilities for ongoing improvement

Required

Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
Minimum of 8 years of experience with a focus on RTR processes
Experience implementing ERP solutions for a multi-year implementation in complex global environments
Proven track record as an R2R Lead or Process Owner in at least one large-scale ERP implementation (SAP S/4HANA strongly preferred)
Strong understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP/IFRS), internal controls, and audit requirements
Deep knowledge of finance transformation principles, best practices, and industry trends
Demonstrated success in driving transformation and implementing change management initiatives within a fast-paced, global environment
Experience in global, distributed organizations, with cultural awareness and ability to partner across regions
Ability to balance strategic process design with hands-on detail in system configuration and solution discussions
Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills
Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
High degree of self-confidence and presence as a natural leader
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
