Senior CMM Programmer

The Senior CMM Programmer is responsible for developing dimensional inspection programs, supporting existing programs, and instructing end users in the use of applications.

Responsibilities
Develop Dimensional inspection programs using various programming languages such as Visual Basic and Python based on requirement definitions, customer blueprints, CAD models, and specifications to be used for manufacturing data collection, analysis, and distribution
Support existing programs by troubleshooting, implementing modifications, or adding new information as required
Detailed understanding of co-ordinate metrology including the principles of CMMs, and CMM Manager software. Work with end users to create requirement definitions and functional designs for enhancements to existing programs and for development of new applications
Use NX cad software to extract geometric information from CAD models required to generate CMM and Structured light measurement part programs. Electronic data management, manipulation of electronic data using NX to assist in tool builds, gating builds and production of gating schemes. Supporting engineering in analyzing electronic models and working with casting houses and various tooling houses. Perform all documentation necessary to satisfy customer and quality requirements
Instruct end users in the use of applications
Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in a technical field -OR- High School diploma/equivalent with five (5) year's comparable technical experience
Seven (7) years related experience and/or training
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
