Sr Systems Grants Analyst II

Responsibilities
Partner closely with Grants Management stakeholders—including research administration, finance, and compliance teams—to design and implement system configurations that reflect the unique needs of the grants lifecycle in Workday
Configure and maintain Workday Grants business processes (e.g., award setup, award modifications, funding allocations, cost share tracking), security roles, and foundational data (e.g., sponsors, awards, grants, facilities & administration rates)
Support end-to-end grant management processes in Workday, including pre-award (proposal creation, sponsor selection) and post-award (budgeting, expense tracking, billing, and compliance)
Develop custom reports, calculated fields, dashboards, and audit tools to support regulatory reporting, grant monitoring, and operational decision-making
Develops detailed business work plans for analysis, testing system upgrades, modifications, and enhancements
Evaluates the configuration, implementation and maintenance of the technical requirements for the current development, staging and production environments
Analyzes work processes, feasibility of medium to large project requests, and troubleshoots operational problems
Develops, plans and executes thorough and complete test scenarios and plans
Assists in developing technology standards
Coordinates resources required for task completion
Serves as a direct liaison to functional process owners and subject matter experts
Completes tasks by due dates or documents variances and alerts management
Maintain documentation related to Grants configurations, reporting, and business process changes to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance with audit requirements
Train users on Workday Grants functionality, including award setup, fund management, and reporting tools
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree (required)
1-2 years of experience in Healthcare/Healthcare IT or medical informatics (required)
1-2 years of experience working in higher education, healthcare, or non-profit setting with complex grant portfolios
Written and verbal communication skills
Developed skills in examination and analysis
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work well in a team environment and to be self motivated and self disciplined
Effectively deals with multiple and changing priorities
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Computer Science (preferred)
