Responsibilities

Directly manage a team of QA, Business Systems Analysts, and Software Engineers that develop and support a set of Consumer Loan Origination systems
Serve as Technical Owner for a suite of Consumer Loan Origination systems - you will be responsible for development and design leadership, being the public face of IT for those systems, and ensuring up-to-date maintenance and compliance with all Bank requirements
Provide project leadership for medium to large sized projects as needed
Create consistent and maintainable processes to ensure quality code and configuration is deployed
Partner with Product and Business stakeholders to understand and execute key business requirements
Support production systems through managing a tier-3 support structure to ensure that systems remain stable

Required

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Applications development, applications analysis or systems engineering OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Applications development, applications analysis or systems engineering

Preferred

Experience with Loan Origination Systems, especially if within large financial institutions
Direct management experience, especially within a software team
Experience with vendor management, including escalation support and contract management
Strong understanding of coding and configuration best practices, including SDLC within regulated environments
Experience leading and guiding the development of Systems Analysts and Developers, from technical design to code/configuration quality and beyond
Expert-level communication, both verbal and written
Ability to quickly gain confidence and respect from others
Experience working within a Large Financial Institution (LFI) or other similarly regulated environment
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Experience working with and/or managing a mostly-remote team
A high sense of personal agency - you do not wait for others to identify areas of opportunity, you actively seek them out and drive yourself and your team to execute
Leadership experience - this does not have to be direct people management, but you should stand out as a leader and mentor to others around you
Software Implementation experience - you know what it means to work on medium to large software implementation projects, and you understand what it takes to maintain and implement software in a production environment
Experience supporting software applications in a development environment, particularly within the banking/financial services sector
Appreciation for clear, concise requirements - you can identify when requirements are ambiguous or confusing and will drive for clarity
Drive to constantly learn new things - we are a fast-growing bank and this team will evolve significantly over the next 3-5 years
