Amrize is transforming to become the leader in innovative and sustainable building solutions. They are seeking an Environmental Engineer Intern for Summer 2026 who will work closely with the team to ensure environmentally responsible operations and engage in improving environmental practices.

Responsibilities

Actively participate in the continuous improvement of environmental initiatives, contributing innovative ideas and perspectives

Conduct daily interactions with plant employees and contractors, providing guidance on environmental practices and procedures

Perform regular environmental inspections, monitoring, and testing of equipment, processes, and emissions to ensure compliance with environmental standards

Collect and analyze environmental data, including air and water quality, waste management, and energy consumption, to identify trends and areas for improvement

Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors

Utilize a range of skills and knowledge in day-to-day operations, working collaboratively to achieve team and company goals

At the end of your internship, you'll present your learnings and contributions to our executive leadership team

Required

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Environmental Engineering or similar field

Strong academic performance with a solid understanding of engineering principles

Geographic flexibility to work at various sites

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

High energy and a proactive approach to tackling new challenges

A team player who can collaborate across different levels of the organization

Willingness to spend significant time in the field, gaining hands-on experience and firsthand knowledge of our business operations
