Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Lead/Senior Product Compliance Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will prepare compliance dossiers, lead a team, and develop innovative methodologies for product design standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare the dossiers related to fire smoke regulations NFPA 130

Lead a small team of local junior Product Compliance Engineers

Be in charge of the Compliance Analysis in accordance with the regulations that control hazardous substances in electrical/electronic equipment and lifecycle assessment

Prepare dossiers relating to the regulation for the control of exports, brokering, technical assistance, transit and transfer of dual-use items (EU and US Regulations)

Develop innovative methodologies to be applied as standards in the design process of products and solutions

Required

At least 5 years of experience in a product compliance related role

Previous experience working as a team lead. Must have the ability to lead local junior Product Compliance Engineers

Knowledge of NFPA 130 - Standard for fire protection for Rolling Stock

Good knowledge about Life Cycle Assessment Methodologies

Experience with and an understanding of information related to electrical/electronic/mechanical components

Able to work autonomously and be proactive in the management of tasks

Willing to work in an international team and environment

Excellent communication skills

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering (preferable), Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or equivalent technical/scientific background

English proficiency. Knowledge of a foreign language is welcome
