The Software Engineer - Pipelines will focus on building and iterating on the data import system, maintaining the source library, and ensuring the stability and production readiness of the Data Stack team’s solutions.

Responsibilities
Build and iterate on our data import system
Build and maintain our source library
Revamp our schema management strategy
Build resilient systems (e.g logging, observability, testing)
Debug stateful data workflows by digging into k8s pod metrics
Schedule jobs using Temporal.io
Qualification
Required
Strong skills in building resilient systems
Experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and S3 at scale
Experience in Python
Hands-on experience with batch processing and modern data formats
Experience with Arrow to stream data
Experience with Iceberg and/or Delta is welcome
Experience with building tools versus using off-the-shelf tools
Experience with creating and maintaining data pipelines
Comfortable with debugging stateful, async data workflows by digging into k8s pod metrics
Strong backend skills
Proactive and able to get things done
Preferred
Async-python and Temporal.io skills are welcome
Experience with Iceberg and/or Delta is welcome
