In this role, the Test Engineer will design and develop test solutions for the compute platform powering autonomous vehicles, collaborating with electrical engineering and software teams to validate new products and technologies.

Responsibilities
Build and release test solutions for use on the manufacturing lines at Zoox and at contract manufacturing partners
Develop testing scripts and code to verify functionality, control test instruments, capture test parameters, and analyze results for continuous improvement
Work cross-functionally to implement the correct test coverage across all phases of manufacturing (PCBA, module, system, vehicle)
Release updated test programs for new generations of hardware and software
Support the test and validation of prototype designs
Establish best practices and drive continuous improvement for improving test deployment, test runtime, and yield
Qualification
Required
BS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, or equivalent technical degree
8+ years of industry experience or equivalent
Knowledge of manufacturing and testing electronic assemblies
Experience in testing of complex electronic assemblies, such as server-grade computers and sub-assemblies
Experience with manufacturing tests of PCIe devices such as GPUs, network cards, and NVMe drives
Strong knowledge of Python and shell (bash) scripting. Experience with other programming languages, such as C++ or C#, is beneficial
Experience with the Linux platform - debugging failures using command line tools
Preferred
MS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, or equivalent technical degree
Knowledge of automotive protocols such as CAN and hardware interfaces
Experience with high-speed links such as GMSL
Strong expertise in PCIe troubleshooting - especially with GPUs and similar electronic assemblies
