Spring 2026 Volunteer Management Intern - UNPAID
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a leading humanitarian organization that responds to global crises. The Volunteer Management Intern will assist in recruiting and managing volunteers to support the IRC's mission in Atlanta, enhancing community engagement and resource development efforts.

Responsibilities
Help recruit volunteers, interns, and Americorps members
Assist Volunteer Coordinator in maintaining accurate, up-to-date data across pertinent databases
Record and analyze program data pertaining to volunteers, interns, and Americorps members
Compile and post volunteer and intern descriptions as needed
Provide direct service to clients as needed by the Resource Development team
Assist with Resource Development needs including community engagement, external communications, event planning, and fundraising
Attend community, networking, and recruitment events with Resource Development staff
Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and special staff development programs
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
An interest in international affairs and refugee/immigrant issues
Effective communication and writing skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills
Creativity and initiative to follow through on projects
A strong desire to help people and enthusiasm to work in a multi-cultural setting
Time management
Submit intern hours on volunteer dashboard
Must submit intern hours on volunteer portal
Must pass a background check
Commitment of 15 hours per week for a minimum of 3 consecutive months
Must be at least 18 years old
