Responsibilities

Design and manage our MySQL databases with a focus on speed, scalability, and reliability
Build and maintain CDC-driven data pipelines that move data efficiently across our platform
Tune queries, refine schemas, and optimize database performance for high-volume workloads
Support internal teams by improving data availability and access for analytics and reporting
Oversee data integrity, replication, backups, and disaster recovery readiness
Collaborate across teams to shape the future of our data architecture

Qualification

Required

5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, DBA, or hybrid
Know your way around SQL optimization, indexing, and schema design
Skilled in database administration, including backups, scaling, and performance optimization (AWS RDS preferred)
Have built scalable pipelines and worked with large datasets
Comfortable working across AWS services, especially RDS, with deep familiarity in navigating the cloud environment
Obsessed with clean data, automation, and performance
Love collaborating, but also thrive in autonomous, ownership-driven roles

Preferred

Experience with NoSQL tools such as DynamoDB Streams or MongoDB Change Streams
Worked with SaaS, marketing, or call tracking data
Experience in PHP, Python, or NoSQL
