Responsibilities
Lead our cross functional defect reduction and continuous improvement teams
Providing process engineering, process development, sustaining engineering, and new process implementation for the Electronic Systems Sustainment factory
Hands-on problem solving, data analysis and application of engineering, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to improve assembly processes, product flow and product yields
Interface with our feeder factories for tasks including but not limited to; COPQ, defect reduction, transfer of best practices, non-conformance document correction
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or in a technical field and 2+ years relevant work experience
Current Secret clearance
Electronic manufacturing software experience such as Oracle, TipQA, Solumina or Paperless MES
Ability to write rework instructions and order parts/create child NC's
Sound data analysis and reporting skills
Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with company personnel at all levels, customers, and suppliers
Ability to work independently and be effective in a fast paced environment
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Must be able to provide process related factory floor support for Assemblers and Technicians
Preferred
Experience in a defense or aerospace manufacturing environment
Experience with Tableau
Lead training and Defect Reduction meetings with cross functional groups to address findings / actions
Ability to differentiate between defects requiring rework and what is acceptable using BAE Media and/or Contracts
Knowledge of statistical process controls
Root cause and corrective action methodology knowledge and experience
