Mid, Senior LevelAustin Electrical Enclosures is seeking a Site Accounting Manager who will play a critical leadership role in overseeing accounting operations. The role involves ensuring compliance with GAAP, managing financial reporting, and leading the accounting team while collaborating with various departments to enhance financial processes.

Responsibilities
Lead month end close and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Ensure financial records comply with GAAP or IFRS, as applicable
Support internal and external audits
Oversee physical inventory counts and cycle counts
Reconcile inventory balances and investigate discrepancies
Ensure accurate valuation of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
Develop overhead rates and standard product costs for materials, labor, and overhead
Perform variance analysis (actual vs. standard) and recommend corrective actions
Monitor and update Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routing for accurate costing
Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to develop annual budgets
Track performance against budget and provide regular forecast updates
Identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for financial improvement
Supervise and develop accounting staff
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, stewardship and financial discipline
Provide training on financial controls and processes
Ensure adherence to internal control procedures and GAAP / Financial Audit principles
Develop policies and procedures for efficient accounting operations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting
Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
Experience in budgeting and forecasting
Knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices
Preferred
CPA or CMA certification
Experience in manufacturing or inventory accounting
Familiarity with internal controls and audit processes
Experience in developing policies and procedures for accounting operations
