Service Technician I

They are seeking a Service Technician I to provide service on Securitas Technology products at client sites, ensuring application uptime, diagnosing issues, and performing installations and maintenance on security systems.

Responsibilities

Respond to trouble tickets to ensure application uptime and system performance

Work individually and as a team to diagnose and resolve application issues

Execute preventative maintenance tasks to maximize application availability and identify system faults

Perform routine configuration changes (user permissions, application configuration, etc.)

Document all system modifications through a digital change control tracking system

Produce quality technical documentation describing the conceptual and quantitative facets of system deployment, intended for both a technical and non-technical audience

Perform pre-deployment end to end testing of all upgrades and major modifications

Perform on site installations of software upgrades and major modifications

Experience in fire & security system installation

Test and repair alarm systems already in place

Perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code

Respond to emergency service calls

Install equipment for fire alarm systems with the guidance of building plans and electrical layouts

Mount devices at appropriate locations, performing all necessary tasks, such as drilling holes for cabling and accessing locations such as crawlspaces or attics to ensure optimal wiring layouts

Install all wiring to connect system components, complying with all applicable safety standards and with customer’s concerns or preferences

Inspect and test systems to ensure all components are performing well and comply with safety requirements

Identify and repair malfunctions in system components or wiring, including identifying and installing replacement parts as necessary

Compose and submit documentation and reports for each installation or repair visit, complying with company’s standard operating procedure

Test backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens, and all security features in order to ensure proper functioning, and to diagnose malfunctions

Required

Preferred

NICET level II certification preferred (requires prior experience or training)

Energetic, self-starter with a positive attitude

Certification in the following is a plus. DMP, BOSCH, HONEYWELL, PACOM, VERINT, LENEL, MARCH, WATCHDOG
