Responsibilities
Inspect products for length, breaks, and attenuation using OTDR equipment, prioritizing work as needed
Verify that all items meet specifications and identify any defects or production issues
Review and evaluate data to confirm compliance or identify deviations from established standards
Ensure all inspection records and paperwork are complete and accurate
Document all inspection activities and results according to OCC and customer requirements
Complete nonconformance reports when defects are found, coordinate material disposition, and support corrective actions
Help implement data collection projects through OCC’s online Syspro system
Collaborate with colleagues across departments, communicate clearly, and focus on positive solutions that strengthen relationships and uphold quality standards
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
Three or more years of experience in quality assurance or inspection preferred
Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and MIL-STD requirements
Hands-on experience with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and optical test equipment
Ability to read and follow technical instructions accurately
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Professional attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
