LEAP NPI Core Module Integration
GE Aerospace is looking for talented, innovative engineers to design and develop products for the future of safe and sustainable flight. The role involves coordinating valuation methodologies for LEAP product enhancement studies and integrating core design modules for technical insertion initiatives, requiring strong NPI experience and the ability to work at the conceptual design phase.

Responsibilities
Conducts component and product integration. All activities that span multiple components and products and are concerned with how to integrate for maximum performance and operability. Manages product and systems requirements, specifications and flow down. Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing. Responsible for defining product requirements for the module / component / subcontractors and partners teams. Manages interface between components and execution organizations. Responsible for driving CTQ (Critical to Quality) / Risk trades within the teams designing the components. Manages the overall product configuration and configuration control system
Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation
Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work
Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision
May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering (Specific to Engine Systems)

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))
Preferred
Master's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Established project management skills
Execute, provide guidance, and collaborate with GE Technical Experts on the design, analysis, and evaluation of design projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and LEAP product / program requirements
Integrate collaboratively with diverse teams from multiple disciplinary functions such as thermal design, aero design, and systems design
Create areas where technology advancements are needed and recommend approaches / programs to make those advancements
Create innovative solutions that benefit the assigned hardware and overall module to meet broad design objectives
In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work as well as mentor others
Communicate risks within their module and components to appropriate stakeholders to help drive to collective decisions on how best to proceed as a diverse team
