Associate General Counsel, Technology

They are seeking an Associate General Counsel to address legal matters related to technology transactions and provide guidance on cybersecurity and data protection. The role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance and support the launch of new technologies.

Responsibilities

Advise on complex technology transactions, including software licensing, SaaS agreements, cloud services, and vendor contracts
Partner with product, engineering, and IT teams to review and support the development and launch of new technologies, platforms, and tools
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including master services agreements (MSAs), statements of work (SOWs), and data processing agreements (DPAs)
Provide legal guidance on cybersecurity, data protection, and emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, blockchain)
Collaborate with privacy and compliance teams to ensure technology operations align with applicable data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)
Develop and improve internal processes for contracting and legal review of technology-related matters
Monitor and analyze evolving legal and regulatory developments affecting the company’s use of technology

Required

JD Degree or Equivalent
Minimum 5 Years' Experience
Advanced knowledge of general business and contract law

Strong understanding of intellectual property, data privacy, cybersecurity, and software licensing issues
