Solar Technician
ENGIE North America is a leader in the Zero-Carbon Transition, and they are seeking a Solar Technician for their Solar Site near Rogers, TX. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing solar panels, managing documentation, and coordinating with local utilities for high voltage activities.

Responsibilities
Accessing tasks via SCADA, Maximo, or various SAP software systems and repairing, troubleshooting, and fulfilling technical repair work orders for solar panels
Manage documentation
Update parts inventory
Submit on-site status reports, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
Initiate work orders for equipment repairs
Coordination of high voltage switching activities with local utilities and independent system operators (ISO), which includes tasks like substation operations, equipment lockouts and grounding
Adhere to safety protocols such as conducting Site-Specific Orientations, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and safety meetings
Work in a 2 person team on-site
Be a part of an on-call rotation for outages and emergencies
Qualification
Required
Minimum two (2) years diploma in a technical program where you have learned AC/ DC electrical theory, understand reading blue prints and schematics, industrial electrical equipment including breaker, disconnects, transformers, contactors
Minimum two (2) years of experience in Solar generation sites, Wind generation sites
Must have or be willing to obtain certification by AVO as substation technician within 12 months of hire date
Capacity to be on call as deemed necessary by supervisor
Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record to drive company vehicle on and around the plant
Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE's policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
