Peds Cardiovascular Technologist II
The Medical University of South Carolina is a leading healthcare institution, and they are seeking a Pediatric Interventional Cardiovascular Technologist II. This role involves assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac diseases, performing complex technical procedures, and ensuring the safe use of ionizing radiation during cardiovascular procedures on patients ranging from neonates to adults.

Responsibilities
Assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac disease by performing and assisting in complex technical procedures
Operate at a high level of technical competency
Model the ability to act with initiative and ingenuity under limited supervision
Be responsible for the safe use of ionizing radiation for special cardiovascular, EP, and interventional procedures
Function proficiently during all heart catheterization, electrophysiology studies, ablations, and other cardiovascular interventional radiographic procedures
Command a strong knowledge of both normal and abnormal cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Sciences, RT, or an accredited school for Cardiovascular Technology/CVT
ARRT, CVIS, CRT or CVT certification
Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA)
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (or completed within the first 30 days), PALS, and ACLS (may be completed in first 6 months of hire)
Associate's Degree or equivalent
1 year of experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist I or similar expertise
Must be certified as a AART, RCIS OR RCES with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
Preferred
Cath lab or Cardiovascular specialty certification
