Prepare patients for exam: obtains and records history, explains procedure, positions patients and ensures their comfort

Interprets ultrasound

Cleans and maintains equipment

Schedules patients if necessary

Qualification

Required

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience

CPR-BLS required

Completion of formal ultrasound program approved by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers required
