As a Behavioral Technician, you will support children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in various settings, ensuring their safety and well-being while implementing individualized support strategies.

Responsibilities

Provide non-physical, emotional, and behavioral support to children and families
Ensure the safety and well-being of the client
Implement strategies outlined in each child’s Individual Support Plan
Conduct functional assessments, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Use redirection strategies to manage behavioral concerns
Submit visit notes promptly following each session in accordance with organizational and compliance guidelines
Respond to crises using de-escalation and safety strategies
Engage clients in interest-based activities to support growth and awareness
Attend case reviews, team meetings, and required trainings
Follow all agency protocols, procedures, and professional guidelines

Required

Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
High School Diploma required
At least one (1) year of relevant experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferably children
Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
Initiative to frequently check emails for admin communications
Valid New Jersey Driver's License and proof of auto insurance
Must pass all state and federal background checks

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field is preferred but not required. Candidates who have completed their degree are strongly encouraged to apply
Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates are encouraged to apply
