The Retail Floor Associate will be responsible for delivering legendary customer service, assisting customers with their needs, and maintaining the store's inventory and merchandise displays.
Responsibilities
Have ability to lift heavy cartons from the floor to overhead racks
Stock all warehouse, drop ship, and back stock inventory
Front and face merchandise on shelves as directed by their manager
Ability to read and explain directions for unfamiliar products
Customer service is priority one at all times
Each customer must be greeted with a smile and asked, "What can I help you find today?"
Always walk the customer to all products
Make certain the customer has everything they need for their project
Qualification
Required
Timely attendance and willingness to work each day to the fullest
Ability to lift heavy cartons from the floor to overhead racks
Stock all warehouse, drop ship, and back stock inventory
Front and face merchandise on shelves as directed by their manager
Ability to read and explain directions for unfamiliar products
Customer service is priority one at all times
Each customer must be greeted with a smile and asked, 'What can I help you find today?'
Always walk the customer to all products
Make certain the customer has everything they need for their project
Willingness and ability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs
Ability to physically use a scanner to scan all merchandise and to use Point of Sale keyboard and computer keyboard for all transactions
The ability to see and read product labels, dispense product knowledge, and communicate with customers
Manual dexterity; working with cash registers and computers, assembly of some products; ability to quickly make appropriate change for customers
Ability to stand for an extended period of time
Bending, climbing, and twisting are routine; the position requires the ability to retrieve, stock, and move product
Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
Must be available to work on AT LEAST one day of the weekend, 16-28 hours per week
Preferred
Vast knowledge of hardware related products and home projects a plus
Minimum of 1-3 years retail experience is a plus
