Robotics Automation Engineer

The Robotics Automation Engineer will research, design, and develop automated robotic systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage the automation development process to enhance efficiency in data center operations.

Responsibilities

Research, design, and develop automated robotic systems for server and rack handling, maintenance, and deployment. This includes creating prototypes and conducting feasibility assessments
Work with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to integrate robotic solutions into existing data center infrastructure
Install, calibrate, operate, and maintain robotic equipment to ensure safe, dependable, and precise operation
Create and maintain clear documentation for design specifications, test plans, and maintenance guidelines
Stay current with advancements in robotics, AI, and automation to identify and implement new technologies for efficiency improvements
Manage the automation development process, including creating project plans and managing timelines
Conduct quality control and function tests on robotic prototypes and systems. Troubleshoot and debug any malfunctions or errors
Program robots for specific tasks, including motion control, path planning, and task execution

Required

A bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or mechatronics is typically required
Experience with Rack/Server operations and technical infrastructure is highly valued
Experience with hardware components, sensors, and CAD software for mechanical design
Familiarity with industrial automation, including manufacturing processes
Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
The ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly evolving technological landscape
