Compliance Technical Lead / Client Service Manager - Power Sector

Focus will be Energy, with the expectation to engage in other market sectors where can add value – including both industrial and municipal clients
As a technical lead, responsible for leading, engaging and supporting projects and ensuring that the projects/tasks/deliverables are technically sound and meet project objectives for quality, schedule and budget
On strategic and complex projects, engage directly with delivery team throughout project life cycle, including early concept development, solution selection, execution, and risk mitigation
Ensure relevant technical staff engage effectively with project teams to apply consistent technical approaches, risk management, and quality delivery
Assist in the development and preparation of technical documents including work plans, permitting strategies, and reports on impact of permits on treatment requirements
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on compliance projects
Support specific project pursuits or client-positioning efforts with new or existing clients
Use existing relationships to support BC client service teams and strengthen our relationship with clients
On proposals, support development of the technical approach and scope and participation in interviews
Support proposal sales leaders, particularly for work with Power clients
In close association with client service teams (CST’s), assume Client-facing Technical Leadership roles with strategic clients, including trusted advisor for clients and CSTs
Directly engage with clients to build relationships, assess needs, and develop technical solutions
Bring technical insights from engagement with client peers/network
Understand our competition in terms of strategic direction of their approach to the specialty area, and their technical focus, staff, strengths, and weaknesses
Support and be a mentor to junior and mid-level senior employees who deliver compliance work
Qualification
Required
Established track record of environmental compliance
Client development experience with clients in the private sector
Experience in project delivery and quality management
Ability to engage directly with delivery teams throughout project life cycle
Experience in developing and preparing technical documents including work plans, permitting strategies, and reports
Subject Matter Expert (SME) on compliance projects
Support specific project pursuits or client-positioning efforts
Ability to build relationships and assess client needs
Mentorship experience for junior and mid-level employees
