Environmental Services Technician, Long Term Care (LTC)

Responsibilities
Maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas
Emptying waste baskets, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors
Demonstrating knowledge of housekeeping processes, tools and techniques in a healthcare environment
Keeping storage, equipment and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy
Assisting in the laundry areas as appropriate
Using technology applications as needed
Lifting and moving materials up to 40-50lbs and pushing/pulling variable weight limits
Being on their feet for the majority of their shift
Qualification
Required
Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required
Ability to lift and/or move up to 40-50lbs and push/pull up variable weight limits on flat surfaces or up and down ramps
Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful
Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful
Preferred
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred
Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred
