Responsibilities
Assess equipment and recommend an appropriate course of action
Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts with an emphasis on the Company’s interests
Maintain and repair powered material handling equipment, pick carousels, conveyors and other automation equipment
Frequently lift up to 50 pounds
Troubleshoot escalated technical problems and complex mechanical issues including; repairing material handling equipment such as forklifts and warehouse equipment such as picking carousels, conveyors, shrink-wrap machines and inventory racks
Perform repair and maintenance duties to the interior and exterior building structure including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, framing, roofing, painting, and other general construction
Perform preventive maintenance of rolling stock and equipment as required
Observe and promote established safety procedures
Prioritizes maintenance of red tagged equipment
Assist in physical inventories as required
May perform other projects and tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or its equivalent (GED)
Technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance or related field
A minimum of 3 years of related experience
Prior experience performing repairs and preventative maintenance on powered industrial equipment such as material handling equipment and automation systems such as conveyance and sortation systems, PLCs, and other related equipment
Ability to assess equipment and recommend an appropriate course of action
Ability to interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts
Ability to maintain and repair powered material handling equipment, pick carousels, conveyors and other automation equipment
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to troubleshoot escalated technical problems and complex mechanical issues
Ability to perform repair and maintenance duties to the interior and exterior building structure including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, framing, roofing, painting, and other general construction
Ability to perform preventive maintenance of rolling stock and equipment as required
