Responsibilities
Provide oversight and management of staff, which includes scheduling, performance management, and reviews. Foster a culture of excellent customer service among treasury staff while carrying out fiduciary responsibilities in handling City funds
From a business perspective, offer leadership in task completion and manage the applications used in Treasury operations. This includes the bank reconciliation application, the collections data system, the commercial credit card application, and the BIA and LID applications
Assist with all aspects of staff and the programs they support, including the testing and development of test plans for new or modified applications
Provide documentation and training to ensure that adequate backup resources are available for the continuity of critical operational tasks
Actively participate in new or evolving initiatives and efforts within City Finance
Perform daily cash activities and reporting by preparing and maintaining the cash positioning worksheet. This ensures that sufficient cash is available to meet daily needs, and any excess above the target is invested in allowable investment options
Perform other related duties at a comparable level/type as assigned
Qualification
Required
Two years or more of progressive experience performing the related duties and responsibilities including but not limited to the following: Document procedures, deliver training, and ensure high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders; manage billing, invoice management, and accounts payable processing
Administered and oversee bank accounts, including reconciliation, analysis, reporting, and monitoring of treasury-related activities
Experience in managing and/or guiding lower-level staff
A combination of education, training and/or experience that provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of this position may be considered
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, information systems or a related field
1-2 years of experience in a management, lead or supervisory role
1–2-year experience in an accounting, treasury or banking operations
