Responsibilities
Develops and enhances content for social media, newsletters, and various library communications
Captures and edits photos and videos from library events for promotional use
Researches current trends and generates innovative ideas to maintain engaging and relevant content
Serves as a library representative at community events, partnering with schools, early childhood centers, and local organizations to promote library services, collections, and programs
Assists the public with library materials, equipment, general reference services, responding to inquiries, and guiding users to appropriate research resources
Demonstrates a strong dedication to delivering positive customer service to all library patrons
Performs all other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (must obtain TX driver's license within 90 days)
Experience creating digital content, including graphics, photos, or videos, preferably using Canva or similar tools
Experience assisting the public with technology, including public computers, printing, scanning, faxing, and digital resources
Ability to work evenings and weekends
Preferred
Bilingual in English/Spanish
One year of related experience in library, communications, or community-focused environment
Familiarity with trends in social media content creation and engagement strategies
Experience creating content that engages families and children
