Encore Fire Protection is a growing company redefining the fire protection industry with a customer-first approach. They are seeking a Sprinkler Fitter Technician to measure, cut, and install fire sprinkler systems while ensuring compliance with safety measures and local building codes.

Responsibilities

Measuring and cutting steel and plastic pipes for installation using blueprints and local building codes

Attaching fire sprinkler heads and fitting to pipes to ensure pipe systems are free of leaks

Ability to study and read blueprints in order to decide fitting of the fire sprinkler system

Perform testing for AHJ

Report any issues back to the project manager

Must employ safety measures while installing fire sprinkler systems

Must ensure that each job is done with high precision

Must document all details of the job properly

Required

High school diploma is required

Must have valid driver's license with willingness to travel within the state of Maryland

Strong attention to detail

Understanding of complex blueprints and solid written and verbal skills

Familiarity with the national fire codes

Thorough knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and the necessary tools

Ability to work in a wide variety of conditions, including heights up to 30 feet or more and also be able to work in adverse weather conditions

Ability to lift 50 pounds

Experience in lift operations and OSHA guidelines

Preferred

Industry experience preferred

NICET certification a plus
