They are seeking a reliable JR HVAC Technician to assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems under the supervision of a senior technician, offering an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the HVAC industry.

Responsibilities

Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment

Basic understanding of HVAC systems, Refrigeration, Low Temp, Ice machines and components

Support senior technicians with inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting HVAC issues

Identifying maintenance risks on equipment

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter changes, system cleaning, and testing

Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems

Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services

Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently

Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act

Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements

Assisting with customers' queries

Ability to climb ladders, ascend. Descend stairs and navigate various areas throughout the property

Required

High school diploma or equivalent work experience in a similar environment

Must have experience in maintenance, repairs and replacement

Must have experience with HVAC, Refrigeration and Low temp

Commercial single phase and 3 phase units up to minimum of 20 tons

Valid driver's license

Basic understanding of HVAC systems and components

Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn

Working knowledge of boiler systems

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills

Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice

Ability to work in confined spaces

Preferred

Completion of or current enrollment in an HVAC training program preferred, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field

EPA 608 Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Basic computer skills. Experience in Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred
