Machine Tool Technician- Austin Industrial (Tempe, AZ)
Austin Industrial is a premier provider of self-perform maintenance, construction, and soft craft services to leading industrial companies across the U.S. The Machine Tool Technician role involves performing repairs and preventative maintenance on various types of material handling equipment, as well as managing inventory and preparing products for shipment.
Construction
Responsibilities
Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory
Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders
Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies
Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units
Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock
Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product
Documents product shipment by recording units shipped
Responsible for installation, repair and maintenance of machine tools on site. Tasks include but not limited to geometrical compensation and correction, mechanical repair, sheet metal, gearboxes, ball screws, gib adjustments, and axis alignments. Electrical repairs, control logic, PLCs, VFDs, ladder logic, component level repairs. Will support other trades
Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Preforms repairs and PMs various types of material handling
Must be able to work at a fast pace and always has safety first
Escort Vendors and subcontractors
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States
Hand and power tool experience
1-3 years mechanical experience
