They are seeking a part-time Student Employment Tutor Non-certified for Spanish, responsible for tutoring students in Spanish language courses and tailoring instruction to meet individual student needs.

Responsibilities

Reliability, timeliness and attention to detail

Increasing knowledge of Spanish 1010 and 1020, 2010, 2020 and other Spanish language related including teaching methods and the course textbook, materials, and assignments

Increasing competence in tutoring, focusing on textbook integration, identifying student level of competence, and tailoring instruction to the student level, needs, and instructor expectations

Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College

Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities
