The WIC Nutrition Health Educator will assist individuals and communities in adopting healthy behaviors while collecting and analyzing data to identify community needs and evaluate health programs.

Responsibilities

Under supervision, promotes, maintains, and improves individual and community health by assisting individuals and communities to adopt healthy behaviors
Collect and analyze data to identify community needs prior to planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs designed to encourage healthy lifestyles, policies and environments

Qualification

Nutrition EducationDieteticsHealth PromotionData AnalysisCommunication Skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in education, social, behavioral, or biological sciences or a directly related field from an accredited college or university

Preferred

Degree in dietetics, human nutrition, food & nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management or a closely related field from an accredited college or university from an Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics accredited program
Must have at minimum 18 hours in Nutrition Education from an accredited college
