The Carpet Cleaning and Restoration Technician will be responsible for delivering effective residential and commercial cleaning and restoration services while ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

Effectively perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services the company offers *(Opportunities exist to earn Mold Mitigation; Fire & Water Damage Restoration certifications and experience quickly).*

Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations

Communicate effectively with customers

Perform basic equipment maintenance

Perform basic vehicle maintenance

Inspect completed work

Complete the technician’s daily log

Complete Work Orders

Maintain appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles

Maintain inventory of related supplies

Willing to learn and work with the newest equipment and technology in the industry

Willing to hold self and others accountable for maintaining company standards

Required

High school diploma (or GED)

Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units

Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity

1–3 years of hands-on experience in water, fire, or mold mitigation

Familiarity with IICRC standards (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification)

Experience using equipment like moisture meters, air movers and dehumidifiers, HEPA vacuums and air scrubbers

Knowledge of safety protocols, PPE usage, and containment procedures

Ability to assess damage and document restoration progress

Preferred

1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or some form of specialty cleaning (i.e. Stripping & Waxing Commercial Space Flooring, Air Duct Cleaning, Tile and Grout Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, etc.)

Highly Desired Certificates from Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), but not required

Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT) preferred, but not required
