New Grad, Entry LevelThe Pictsweet Company is a family-owned frozen vegetable producer with over 75 years of experience. They are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards through various testing and audits during production shifts.

Responsibilities
Ensure and monitor all quality and food safety systems are in place for the production of quality products manufactured under clean and safe conditions
Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulations relating to food and personnel safety such as FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, HARPC, DOT, GMPs, Housekeeping, Allergen Segregation, etc
Conducts established raw material, packaging, in-process, microbiological and finished product testing/audits
Performs sanitation, GMP, Pre-operational inspections/audits
Know and observe safety, security, quality, sanitation and personal hygiene requirements and lead by example on the processing floor
Sensory evaluations of samples at all levels of production
Perform Critical Control Point monitoring functions
Assist during certification audits
Assist QA Senior Management
Follows all Company policies and procedures and ensures a safe work environment
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be able to maintain a high level of alertness and concentration while performing safety-sensitive task
Available to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
Effective oral and written communication skills
Basic mathematical computations including fractions/decimals
Read and comprehend process, procedures, instructions, and standards
Functional knowledge to apply corrective actions, quality and food safety procedures correctly in times of failure
Perform duties with a high level of accuracy and detail
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence, motivate, and lead within a team environment
Must be able to endure prolonged periods of standing, bending, pulling, walking on hard surfaces, reaching, and lifting
Requires repetitive motion with arms and hands
Must have ability to work in outdoor weather conditions, non-climate controlled areas, and/or a refrigerated packaging environment
Preferred
High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
Experience a plus, but not required
Bilingual skills helpful but not required
