Responsibilities

Perform 12-lead Electrocardiograms, Holter Monitor Hook-Ups and Cardiac Stress Testing, including 24-hour, 48-hour, and 30-day event monitors and/or EEG testing
Notify physicians, nurses or managers of abnormal results
Notify secretaries of needed supplies
Maintain/troubleshoot equipment and notify Clinical Engineering of ongoing problems that cannot be resolved
Process test results before and following physician interpretations

Required

High School Diploma or GED
Basic Life Support (BLS), Healthcare Provider Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Preferred

Credentials as an Allied Health Professional
Completion of a Cardiac Technician and/or EEG Program
Six months of experience as an ECG Tech and/or Stress Testing experience
